Nicole Hurley-Moore has nominated me for this award. Thank you Nicole!

The lovely Nicole Hurley-Moore, writer of wonderful historical romances (are there any other kind?) has nominated me for The One Lovely Blog Award.

I’m thrilled an honoured that Nicole likes my blog. She has asked me to nominate 7 other outstanding bloggers and share 7 facts about myself, So as part of this award, I now have to nominate seven other lovely blogs and share seven facts about me. Here are my nominations –

And here are 7 Facts About Me!

7 Facts about me –

1.    I love antiques. One day my darling husband and I were out looking in an antique store when we fell in love with a late Victorian oak bedroom suite – bed, pot cupboard, dresser, dressing table with mirror and an armoire – very romantic, very original and *very* cheap. We didn’t know whether it would fit in the house, but it does ::grin::

2.   I had once lunch with Yeardley Smith who provides the voice of Lisa Simpson on The Simpsons and Costas Mandylor from the early 1990s TV series Picket Fences once tried to pick me up.

3.   I met my husband at my first job out of high school – I was a cadet journalist at the Gold Coast Bulletin and we’ve been married nearly 20 years.

4.   I love cats.

Coco and Claude - they are so cute. I never thought I would have the patience for a kitten, but these two are simply darling.

5.   I love retro furniture as well as antiques. My favourite piece is a 1950s cocktail cabinet with a pull out radiogram on one side and a record player on the other. I tell the kiddies that it’s a proto iPod drinks dispenser.

6.  I love history, not the just the facts and figures, but the people and the circumstances of the age.

7.   They say one should never discuss politics and religion in polite company, but I enjoy discussing both.
